ADAPT Joins Made In Britain to Highlight UK Manufacturing
ADAPT ems has joined Made In Britain, the not-for-profit organisation representing British manufacturers. As members, we can now use the official Made In Britain trademarks, showing that our products are genuinely produced in Great Britain.
“Customers choose ADAPT because they want an experienced British manufacturing partner with the right expertise and capabilities for their project. Membership of Made In Britain highlights our 40-year heritage in contract electronics and a track record of high-quality UK manufacture,” explains Louise Pridding, Head of Sales at ADAPT ems.
Why UK Manufacturing Matters
ADAPT works with many clients where having a UK-based partner is important. Clearview Intelligence, for example, wanted to bring production of its SolarLite Road Stud back into the UK and chose ADAPT to deliver the project.
“It’s been a long term aim for us to re-shore SolarLite production. Adapt EMS has come on board as our manufacturing partner and they have proven their willingness and flexibility to work alongside us and achieve the very high standards we demanded,” said Nick Lanigan, Managing Director of Clearview Intelligence.
Sustainability
Alongside manufacturing capability, many clients place value on how and where products are made. British-made means shorter, more sustainable supply chains, reducing transport and environmental impact, while supporting jobs and economic growth in the UK. Several of ADAPT’s clients are themselves Made In Britain members, reflecting shared priorities around provenance, quality and responsible manufacturing.
Responsive and Transparent Processes
“Being UK-based makes it easy to operate an open-door policy,” continues Louise. “Clients can visit at any time to meet their project team and see their products being made. It gives them a clear view of progress and confidence in the process.”
About Made In Britain
Made In Britain was launched in 2013 to promote UK manufacturing and verify the geographic provenance of goods produced in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The organisation brings together British manufacturers under a shared mark, representing both quality and unity in the sector. Members must demonstrate transparency in their processes and adhere to a strict code of conduct, reinforcing standards of responsible, ethical and sustainable manufacturing.
