ADAPT ems has achieved a Bronze sustainability rating following its first EcoVadis assessment, placing the company among the top 22% in its sector.
EcoVadis is a global provider of sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) ratings. It evaluates how well companies have integrated responsible business practices into their operations and supply chains. Many organisations now use EcoVadis ratings as part of their supplier selection and approval criteria.
The assessment provides an independent evaluation of ADAPT’s approach to areas including environmental responsibility, ethics, labour and human rights and sustainable procurement.
ADAPT has been working to strengthen its environmental and ethical practices across the business for several years. Initiatives have included switching to 100% renewable electricity, implementing ethical and equal opportunities policies, investing in more energy-efficient facilities and equipment, as well as introducing a range of waste reduction and recycling measures.
As Louise Pridding, Head of Sales, explains:
“Sustainability standards are becoming an increasingly important consideration during supplier evaluation and selection. Our Bronze EcoVadis result reflects the progress we’ve made at ADAPT and provides independent validation for OEMs when assessing potential manufacturing partners.”
For ADAPT, the rating provides a valuable benchmark for measuring future progress and identifying further opportunities for improvement.
