Investment in New Technology Supports Partners’ Needs Today and Tomorrow

A year on from our investment in two Mycronic MYPro A40DX-17 pick-and-place machines, supported by two Mirtec MV6 OMNI 3D Component AOI machines and 3D Solder Paste Inspection, we have significantly increased our manufacturing capacity and strengthened the service we provide to partners. The efficient off line set up gives us the flexibility to respond quickly to higher demand and take on new projects, delivering more for our current and future partners.

Advanced Technology

We were the first in the UK to install the MYPro A40 platform and these machines are among the most advanced in PCB assembly technology. Equipped with the MX7 high-speed mounthead, they can place up to 59,000 components per hour and handle components ranging from 0.4×0.2 mm to 150×40×15 mm. This flexibility allows us to manage increasingly complex assemblies and miniaturised designs, delivering sophisticated projects on time and to a consistently high standard.

Partner Benefits

“Our investment has directly benefited our partners,” says Louise Pridding, Head of Sales at ADAPT. “It means we can take on more complex projects, scale up quickly when needed and continue to provide the exceptional engineering and manufacturing support our clients expect. Choosing ADAPT means partnering with a company that invests in the best technology and has the experience to deliver consistently.”

ADAPT’s focus on service and collaboration is reflected in the experiences of our partners. “From the outset, the team’s energy, attitude and support was such that their onboarding and ramp into full production was a smooth process. Since then, we have continued to grow the business with them, adding other products. As we can be a very challenging customer, this has only validated our decision to work with ADAPT. The relationship will continue as we grow as a business,” says a Supply Chain Manager.

Innovation & Reliability

ADAPT has a history of early technology adoption, including being among the first contract electronics manufacturers to offer full inline 3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and 3D Solder Paste Inspection (SPI). Staying at the forefront of these technologies means our partners benefit from future proofed production that keeps pace with the latest developments in electronics manufacturing. This update comes as we celebrate 40 years in business and 20 years under the leadership of Managing Director Guy Janney. Together, these milestones reflect our long-term stability and continued focus on building dependable, lasting partnerships.

End-to-End Solutions

Alongside investment in advanced technologies, our wider manufacturing capabilities enable us to support partners from early-stage prototyping through to volume production across our two UK sites. Our end-to-end services include design support, PCB assembly, box build, functional testing and fulfilment. With both flow line and cellular manufacturing in place, we tailor production to suit the complexity and scale of each project, while maintaining clear visibility, consistent quality and reliable delivery.
