ADAPT ems Accelerates Growth with Mycronic MYPro A40DX-17 Investment

ADAPT ems, one of the UK’s leading independent contract electronics manufacturers, has taken a significant step to bolster its production capabilities by investing in two state-of-the-art Mycronic MYPro A40DX-17 pick-and-place machines.

This investment aligns with the company’s commitment to meeting the rising demand for high-performance, technologically advanced products while sustaining robust annual growth.

ADAPT ems is once again strengthening their reputation by being the first MYPro A40 users in the UK.  This builds on ADAPT’s “industry-first” precedent set many years ago as the first contract electronics manufacturer to offer full inline 3D AOI and SPI capabilities.

The MYPro A40DX-17 is part of Mycronic’s latest innovation in PCB assembly technology.  It features the ground breaking MX7 high-speed mounthead, delivering a 48% increase in placement speeds compared to previous models.  With a top speed of 59,000 components per hour (cph) and an ability to handle components as small as 0.4×0.2 mm or as large as 150×40×15 mm, the A40DX-17 ensures unparalleled versatility.

The system also includes an intuitive graphical user interface, streamlining operations for operators of all experience levels.  This new addition enables ADAPT ems to efficiently scale its production volumes while maintaining the flexibility required for complex, high-mix assemblies.  As the electronics market evolves with rapid technological advancements, the MYPro A40DX-17 empowers manufacturers to respond to the growing trend of miniaturisation and design complexity without compromising speed or precision.

“We are thrilled to enhance our manufacturing capabilities with the MYPro A40DX-17 machines. This investment helps us stay ahead in a competitive market and reflects our commitment to delivering superior products and services to our clients” stated Guy Janney, Managing Director at ADAPT ems.

ADAPT ems believes that one of its main USP’s is the high level of service it provides to its customers.  Examples of this are evident through many diverse projects including; reshoring volume production helping customers transition large-scale production back to the UK, reducing lead times and ensuring a streamlined supply chain; through to supporting their customer by turning early-stage prototypes into high-quality series production.

By leveraging these strengths and integrating the advanced capabilities of the MYPro A40DX-17, ADAPT ems ensures their customers can benefit from faster production cycles, precise assembly, and unparalleled flexibility.

This investment underscores ADAPT’s commitment to excellence and positions the company for continued growth in the fast-evolving electronics sector.
